One person, one game, the game's own files.

Deadlock Shop is built by Caden Sorenson. It is a shop and build planner for Deadlock, with a page for every item, hero and ability, and a record of what each patch changed. There is no staff and no media group behind it. It is made through Vient, the web studio named in the footer and the contact address. The Steam profile behind the site is public.

Deadlock is a trademark of Valve Corporation. Valve is not affiliated with and does not endorse this site.

Where the numbers come from

Every game fact on the site, a stat, cost, damage number or cooldown, is read from the game's own files, or computed by the game's own formula over those files and marked as computed. When the files do not contain a fact, the page says so instead of filling the gap.

The one exception is labelled as such: the "counters", "most-bought build" and "ability order" sections on each hero page, the "in matches" and "Heroes who buy" sections on each item page, the "in matches" section on each ability page, and the measured columns on the heroes and items lists are measured from real matches by deadlock-api.com. Those rates always show their match count, rank range, patch and dates, and sit apart from the game facts. Nothing comes from other fan sites or from guesswork. The methodology says how a rate is computed.

What the build stamp means

Every page names the game build it was read from. When Valve ships a patch, the new build is read, compared against the last one, and every item, hero and ability that moved is marked with both values side by side. If a page's build is older than the live game, treat its numbers as possibly out of date until it updates.

Money

There are currently no ads and no affiliate links on this site. If that changes, anything that pays will be labelled where it appears, and it will never change a number.

Corrections

If a number here is wrong, it is worth telling us. The most useful report names the page, the field, the value shown and the value you expected, plus where you saw it in game. See the Corrections page for how that works.

Contact and takedown requests

Email hello@vient.org for everything: corrections, privacy questions and rights requests, and content or takedown notices. It reaches Caden Sorenson directly.

Deadlock Shop publishes only what the game client itself contains and states on every page that it is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve. The only game art on the site is Deadlock's shop item icons, shop art, hero portraits and ability icons, plus the upcoming heroes' portraits, name logos and hero vote stickers, all Valve's art reproduced from the game files (tables use small copies of the icons and portraits). If you represent a rights holder and want something removed or changed, send the pages and the reason by email; requests are answered quickly and in good faith.
