Embed and open data

One script tag turns every link to this site into a hover card. The same data is a plain JSON API you can build on.

The tooltip embed

Add this one tag to any page, wiki, guild site or forum. Every link that already points at aDeadlock Shop entity page grows a hover card with the name, what it is, the latest patch verdict and a one-line answer, all sourced from the game files. No dependencies, no tracking, no game art, and it works from any origin.

Copy this snippet

Paste it once, near the end of your page. It finds the links itself.

This page loads the script. Hover (or tab to) one of these real links and the card appears, exactly as it will on your page:

It only decorates links to entity pages (/<kind>/<slug>/). Index, facet and patch links are left alone. The card is built with plain DOM and inline styles, so it cannot clash with your site's CSS.

MediaWiki gadget

On a MediaWiki site, install it as a gadget so every editor's pages get the cards. Create the gadget script and register it:

Then add one line to MediaWiki:Gadgets-definition:

* DeadlockShopTips[ResourceLoader|default]|DeadlockShopTips.js

Enable it in Special:Preferences → Gadgets. A wiki that prefers not to use gadgets can instead add the plain snippet above to MediaWiki:Common.js.

Open data

The tooltips read the same JSON the site publishes. Every endpoint is static, cached, and served with open CORS, so you can fetch it from anywhere. Numbers trace to a build; no game art is included, and the underlying game data belongs to its publisher. Reuse it freely with attribution to Deadlock Shop.
